HILARY FOULKES
Hilary Foulkes - Chair of Tudor Pickering Holt & Co.
Hilary began her career over 35 years ago, working as a geologist in remote mining camps and on oil drilling rigs in western Canada. As a Professional Geologist, her career evolved from the technical application of geoscience in hydrocarbon resource capture, to the strategic; as the architect and lead negotiator of trend setting and award winning in multi-billion dollar international joint ventures. She has had a number of executive roles in both investment banking and oil and gas operations, including Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer for Penn West Exploration.
She is currently the Chair of Tudor Pickering Holt & Co. Canada, a global energy advisory firm based in Houston,
and serves as a Corporate Director for Enerplus Corporation and for a private equity company, Modern Resources.
Hilary is passionate about science education and serves as the Vice-Chair of “Let’s Talk Science”, a national education foundation that promotes science literacy for children. Most recently, she was asked to serve as a member of the Crude Oil and Liquids advisory panel in the 2015 Alberta Royalty Review.
Hilary is a “Deloitte Women of Influence Speaker” and a University of Waterloo Distinguished Alumni. She is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists and the Institute of Corporate Directors.
