Catherine Bell is a serial entrepreneur having Co-Founded a leading executive search firm and Founded The Awakened Company.

Catherine's best selling book, The Awakened Company, marries business know how (with thought leaders like the CEO of Patagonia, Otto Scharmer from MIT, Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos), business research, and wisdom traditions. Her book was awarded the Nautilus Book Awards for 2015 in the Business & Leadership category, a best seller one week after its release, a best seller on Amazon, and chosen as “8 of The Best Leadership Books of 2015.” The Awakened Company has been recognized as a top book combining business and mindfulness. Catherine has been published in Fortune, HBR, Profit, Conscious Company, Women of Influence and written for the UN. She is an ongoing Contributor to Conscious Company magazine. She now consults on how to awaken engagement, passion, purpose, and playfulness in organizations. She has a North American based team who ignite the fire within organizations through the practices in The Awakened Company. She also has a variety of products to support awakening in business.

Catherine also co-founded BluEra, an executive search and team transformation company that was for two years in a row on the Profit 500 list, a top 200 growing company in Canada and top 10 in Alberta and is a best workplace. BluEra was recently purchased by DHR International, based in Chicago, the largest executive search firm in the world. She has worked around the globe from the UK to Cuba and with Fortune 500 companies to serial entrepreneurs. Catherine has an MBA from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University, a Sociology Degree from Western University, is Certified in the Enneagram, has completed the Institute of Corporate Directors Not for Profit Certification, and is a certified yoga instructor.

Catherine lives in Calgary, Alberta with her husband of 21 years and 2 sons. Catherine was most recently on the Board of the Distress Centre. When she is not chasing her boys around you can find her learning to surf, ski, doing the occasional triathlon, taking another course, meditating, or volunteering for something.
